Alright, I just set up an impromptu room just to see how many of you will join up.  It's in sorcerynet, and the room is called #slackerz.  If you need instructions on how to join, then you probably shouldn't be joining into it just yet.  (Honestly, I just don't feel like typing up instructions.)  If I can find a dedicated server, then we can get a bot, or just someone to be in it 24/7.

EDIT:  How to IRC for noobs.
Windows: Download this shit.
Mac & Linux: Download this shit.
Browser based access: Click this shit. Good for work or school computers, where you can't download shit.

Welcome to the exciting world of Internet Relay Chat!  Your program should have some type of tab that says Connection!  Under that should be a Connect selection.  Under that, look for something called SorceryNet, and then connect to it.  Afterwards, you should have a selection for Join.  Hit that, and then you should be able to type in something along the lines of #slackerz, and then presto!  You'll be a fine participant of the Slackerz official IRC chat room!

If that doesn't work, there should be a way of manually entering the information you need to access the channel.
Server: nomad.sorcery.net
Channel: #slackerz
Username and password: Whatever you like, you don't need a password until you've registered your username in the channel.
Port: 6660-6670, 7000, 9000, 9090 all work, 6667 is default for most IRC clients.

Common Courtesy
The room isn't very active so far, so if you enter and nobody is around, just minimize the window and stick around.  People will show up eventually.

Alright, the room is now completely taken care of.  We have it forever no matter what.  Nobody can come in randomly and become the op.  Only me and someone else have op powers (they don't even know who they are, I'm gonna wait for them to log in and find out the surprise).  Our channel is now set in stone!  We don't even need a bot!  We could probably get one later, though, just for fun.

Yeah, I wandered into the channel and there was noone else there and it said "You can't be the op. Ha! Ha!" and I died a little inside. Btw, your how-to guide for noobs is pretty vague, I am going to improve it.
