I'd probably start him off with "The Shadow over Innsmouth" or "The Colour out of Space" before Call of Cthulhu. Or, hell "In the Mountains of Madness" if he has the time. All three of those were better than Call.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with buying books. Sometimes you need books, for example, when you want to read things in sunlight, or near water.

I go on the computer very often and have been neglecting reading books outside lately, something I'll pick up with the three (or more, I can't remember) actual books I have waiting for me to regain interest.

For some reason, I can't do the whole e-reader thing. I need to feel the paper in my hands.

By the way, Panther, how far are you in the whole Yuuzhan Vong Star Wars books? Did you get to Star by Star?

I don't truly blame you. In between Vector Prime and Star by Star, the Yuuzhan Vong war is pretty boring. Except for Nom Anor being a complete badass, but that's pretty much every book with him.
