I wouldn't knock them if I were you, some of those are pretty good.  I like the light graffiti particularly, it's very minimalist.

One thing I keep noticing is that there doesn't really seem to be focus on one thing in particular.  Just from looking at that collection, it seems like you're only taking one picture of the thing that catches your eye and then you move on to the next thing.  You've got a digital camera, so take advantage of that and take a ridiculous amounts of photos of one thing from all kinds of angles, with different lighting or different positions.  Don't limit yourself to the norms.  And above all, KEEP TAKING PHOTOS!

I think the reason I do that is that my camera isn't really that great, so I'll take one or two pictures of something and they'll turn out bad or blurry and I'll just give up and move on to something else. But I'm supposed to get a slr camera for Christmas, so hopefully then I'll have a lot more better quality pictures and I'll be able to do stuff like that.
