First day of internship. Guy who's supposed to guide me isn't there. I spend the day restocking glass plates of various shapes and often heavy sizes, and I count 3 pallet boxes worth of small metal clamps that are used for assembling furniture, at the end of which my hands were covered in metal dust and surprisingly only one small cut. There were a bit more than 13000 clamps.

That makes me feel better about having to count the individual met patties on Mondays. Today was 174.

There is a slight chance of snow on Friday and people are freaking out here.

Same thing happened to me. Which meant the boss had free reign to give me whatever crazy stupid project he wanted to. I finished the project and have apparently earned his respect or something so now he's not on my case as much as he normally would've been. Best break ever, in retrospect.
