Dark Knight Rises was freaking awesome. That Bane voice. I didn't know what to expect, I thought it was going to be something raspy or gritty and badass but then GENTLEMEN'S TENOR.

Spoiler for parts that bugged me:
Ok I know they'll never call in the national guard or anything in a superhero movie ever, but sending 3000 police officers into the sewers to smoke out a man who has predicted your every move so far. That being roughly ALL of the police force of the city. Not the best plan right there.

Tom Hardy did a fantastic job that ENTIRE movie. THAT FIGHT SCENE IN THE SEWERS, OH MY GOD.

I was gonna see it today but the theater at the mall was very crowded. Rainy Saturdays are bad times to do those sorts of things, I guess.

I watched Spiderman: How many times does Ben have to die? last night and it wasn't as bad as everyone told me it was.  During the scene where Spidey was lying face down in the suit with that magnifient butt showing, a guy leaned over to his wife and said "Thank goodness we aren't seeing this in 3d."

The New Spidey really gets a lot of hate for no reason. The guy they have playing Spidey is a mediocre Peter Parker, but a fantastic Spider Man.

Peter Parker is a mediocre Peter Parker period. I was really impressed with how he left Aunt May to mourn/languish on that couch/ I guess she fixed the door because it sure wasn't him after his Uncle died. Did Croc Doc not have a wife in the comic?

It really depends on what comic series they were using, or what cartoon. In some Conners is a single white dude, a married white dude, or a married black dude.

And I think he did a good job of portraying Peter as the semi-shithead he is in some comics pre-Spider powers, but then a bad job of portraying him as a growing individual post superpowers. His Spider-Man was fucking perfect though.

I agree his Spider-Man was great and it was a lot of "wooh look what I can do with sticky hands!" Gwen should have gotten a restraining order on him. He came off as a bit creepy towards her.

Let me get this straight; it's about a family of US Marines who are at a Thanksgiving football game when the US is attacked by COMMIES.

This is the US equivalent of us starting the Olympics with James Bond skydiving with the Queen, right?
