I take this as a good sign. I think it's a good opportunity to grow into something different. I think Sleckerz has had a damn good run, and I'll miss it.
But the comic has also become a little stagnant/predictable. You may not know exactly what the punch-line will be, but you know when it's coming and there's a good chance it will fall into one of 3 categories: 1.) DEADPAN RESPONSE, 2.) UNREALISTIC EXTREME RESPONSE!!!, or 3.) TOTAL NONSEQUITOR AD-LIB.
Granted, the same can be said for most comics, but I think moving away from the many-panels format will help Smith boil the excess out of a punch-line and really tighten up his writing style.
That said, whatever you make of the new digs, don't go carbon-copy on us! Slackerz has been nothing if not unique and fun in a sea of repetitive and copycat webcomics. Not that I think there's much chance of you 2 falling into the standard webcomic mediocrity, but it had to be said!
So, Mr. Smith and Mr. Hepting, my hat's off to you both. I wish you the best of luck with the new project. Personally, I will be reading.
