General attacks, ladders and enemy trebuchet fire. If the masses meet them on the field, the frontlines will fall back to reveal lines of undying mounted cavalry and undead orcs and ogres. The party doesn't know they currently exist and haven't prepared for an intelligent foe. On the first day they notice the colours of the men of Samesea, who arrive fashionably late for every battle. They are camping to the south, downhill of the undead. They cannot see the army from their vantage point, but the army can see them. Darkness falls and the light from their fire can still be seen through the night. Morning strikes and their faces greet them on pikes outside the wall.
Stage 22-3 days.
Finishes on day 2: 0-50%
Finishes on day 3: Stage Complete.
General attacks continue. Aaliyah sends in ogre assault teams to attempt to break through the barbican, attempts are unsuccessful. Siege towers are rolled in by the undead giants and generic undead make their way onto the wall. Flaming trebuchet fire is now being launched and during the night, drow come up through a thieve's tunnel and take control of a trebuchet on the second wall, firing on the first wall.
Stage 32 days.
Attacks continue as above, however a new assault tactic is employed. The party on the wall looking into the horde will see bloated monsterous centipedes slithering their way towards the wall where upon reaching it, they climb it and begin vomiting undead onto the wall. Generic undead will attack and now they will also have a monsterous best to deal with. At sundown on the second day the setting sun is temporarily blotted out.
Stage 42 days.
Hitting at sundown 32 bone dragons take to the skies. During the night do strafing runs, throw boulders onto the wall and attempt to grapple men with their feet. During the day they attempt to take out the trebuchets, continue their strafing run and drop ammunition from a higher vantage point. Attacks in general still continue.
Stage 52 hours.
In the middle of the night, enemy forces engage in a mass retreat. Glowing particles drift past the confused faces of men on the wall. Quickly they shift into humanoid figures that stand 40ft tall, 6 on the barbican and 4 inside the kill zone. They have 4 attacks per round, the majority of wich will be, break arms, break legs, use the limp body to swing into lines of armed men on the wall, and then throw into the horde. Two of the Nightwalkers focus their efforts on opening the gates. One of the awesome NPC's that everyone is fighting alongside will be ripped in half covering the PC that is closest. As soon as both gates are open the seige will continue, the nightwalkers holding the barbican.
Stage 61 hour.
Undead begin to pour into the front gate forcing the PC's to retreat to the roof tops. Anyone that stays to fight on the wall as the ladders rise and the siege towers hit, will be in trouble. The drow sappers finally make headway in the theives' tunnels under the city taking out a rogue party of thieves and finding the tunnel that runs directly under the first wall. Cracking echos through the night as the entie wall collapses into the ground. Trebuchet fire joins in unison to take out waves of buildings in the slums. 10% chance that it will take out a building a PC is standing on.
Stage 76 hours.
The archers of Corholt retreat accross roof tops, firing at the streets below. Undying cavalry sweeps the city streets. Any PC's on rooftops will be given the opportunity for a spot check to notice the 17th level undying who is climbing a building on the edge of the now exposed front of the city. A pass on knowledge nobility will let them learn that it is the dead king Ricken Bloodborn. He leads 1000 strong undying archers who scale the buildings immediately after him and begin firing on archers and defending units below. The party is forced to make a defended retreat through the streets of the slums. At least one party member will not make it. During the retreat, the PC's are seperated from Prince Stephane and his 500 strong kings guard. When everyone able makes it to the second wall, scaling it they will see Prince Stephane on a roof top with roughly 20 kings guard. He is out of bow range from his fellow archers but realises he will not cover the distance before the horde. Coming to terms that his 15 years of life will end here he screams to the PC's to close the gate and light the fires. As they do so a force of 60 undying swarm the roof top he and his kin stand on, leaving him standing on his own. From the fire and flame emerges King Ricken Bloodborn, as much of a swordsman in death as in life.
He throws his son a sword and growls for him to get to his feet. All that can be heard throughout the battlefield is the flicker of the flames and the clashing of steel. Initially Prince Stephane meets his father with a few strong blows to his sword, however in one effortless move he nicks a joint in his son's arm, causing Stephane to send his sword flying. He scrambles for it, managing to jump to his feet and attempts to block the incoming blade, but in one swift movement he ceased the follow through and flicked the direction of the hit, severing a tendon in his leg. The screams echo accross the city. For hours the king plays with his food. The screams now all that can be heard from the wall.
"KILL ME! JUST KILL ME DA!"
Eventually Stephane passes out from extreme blood loss and the dead king curb stomps his face into the stone below. Walking back through the fire, the rest of the undying on the roof top perish.
The party now have a reprieve of 9 days.
Stage 81 hour.
At midday on the 10th day, walking through the rubble of the slums walks three beautiful women, parting the flames as they go. The blone elf leading the two.

Trailing behind her stunning redhead dressed in a long, black and gold traditional dress and a dark elf with a long dress that looks as if it's made of web. She offers them surrender and a swift death.
Knight Commander Ser Thomas offers this, "Sons and daughters of Corholt, we stand together today, as strong as our ancestors. We stand here willingly, walking the path of the brave before us. Out numbered 100 to 1 we stand. The whispers are true. But outnumbered or not we are Corholtish and we will stand united! We are nothing like those to the south. Even in the face of adversity, we will never surrender. We stand at the end of an era and at the dawning of a new one. On this very day, together, we will decide it's future.
Indifference will claim us until our end. None are willing to aide us but we are without need of aide. Tomorrow the sun will rise red with the blood of our enemies and we will stand victorious. The bards will sing our praises from the rooftops to the high heavens, much as they do now, leading us to our fate. Sons and daughters of Corholt, swing your swords with strength, may your axes find their mark. Today we fight for our survival. Today we fight for Corholt!"
The face of the blonde elf sours and Aaliyah turns her back to the wall, "Ladies..."
Lolth walks forward to the gates of the second barbican. "Brace the gates!" The Knight Commander screams. 100 men push their weight onto the doors, as Lolth extends a finger and upon contact the doors fly from their hinges far off into the city. Wee Jas turns around quelling the entirity of the fire burning in the lower half of the city and the roar from the undead incoming can be heard.
An explosion in the merchant quater causes everyone to shift their eyes and they see an 8ft tall Pelor standing to attention. More explosions hit as gods begin to rain down to the city below on both sides of the wall. Aaliyah sensing her iminent destruction looks to level the playing field by drawing her sacrificial dagger and slaying Wee Jas while she has her back turned. She has now achieved godhood. The fight far too quick for human eyes sees Garl Glittergold to be the first God to die in combat. In addition to the fight going on in the streets, the ground begins to rumble.
An earthquake triggers cracks to appear through the merchant quater and the face of the mountain to the north begins crumbling away. One by one emerge the 15 collossal dragon gods of old, lead in charge by Tempest, a gold, whose domains encomapss Protection, good, intellect and seculsion. Their targets are the hordes of undead charging the city and any of the newer gods who find themselves in a moment of weakness. The weather in the skies bursts from arid, to rain, to blizzards and full sun as they swoop over the city.
When Tempest begins his inital strafing run over the city golden portals begin to open accross the city, the first of which exits this man. Leisgar leads the charge on his adult gold dragon Vignari.
Janacre, the human lands to the south of Corholt send 5000 of their best claws, fur clad warriors riding polar bears into battle. An army of 10 000 dwarves burst forth bearing an additional 2000 warforged they had reclaimed from a drow city only 2 weeks before. 8000 Elves emerge in their chain and throwing discs embed in enemies accross the battlefield.
The party will need to fight defensively towards the citadel, they will make it to the marketplace, and then the stage will be complete.
Stage 91hour.
Aaliyah runs vertically into the skies away from the battle raging below taking care to avoid the dragon gods swooping around her and when she has reached the ideal height she proceeds to divebomb into the heart of the citadel, where the artifact waits for her in the crystal caverns below. She need not worry about the Order if the Hawk defending the artifact, two of the members were working for her and have by now taken everyone 'defending' the stone to an untimely death.
One of the PC's will make a spot check when they are fighting in market place to realise that they are half a person taller than everyone else and they are standing on the door of the gates, some 5 acres from the barbican.
Aaliyah cuts her hand and slams into the stone, shattering it into multiple pieces. Anyone who managed to make it into the citadel instantly dies and is raised again under the mass cirlce of death. Slowly the circle expands out to the graveyard of the kings, and then into the market place where there are statues to every major Knight Commander who has passed on. Their bodies are burried directly beneath their own likeness. The gods have fallen back to the market place with the PC's occasionally a god will aim for a PC only to be parried for by another god. Knights being bursting out of their statues.
There is a roar to the west as an undead turresque approaches. He begins to make its way into the lower district when the very much alive turresque emerges from the collapsed mountain to the north and throws itself on him. They rage in the lower district.
Stage 10: The finale2 hours.
Gods start dying in a greater number, and it looks as if the undead have the upper hand. Leisgar and Aaliyah battle each other directly above those on the ground and above the clash of the dragons in the skies. The fight between the two is epic, balls of flame being flung at each other from accross great distances and at the last minute when he has her in his sights he hesitates. But she takes the advantage, throwing the largest ball of energy she can muster. Tempest dives in the way soaking some of the damage, but not enough. He falls explodes in a hail of bright light and the blast continues into Leisgar killing him outright. Aaliyah moves to rise him but finds she cannot, for now he too under Tempest sacrifice is a god.
Leisgar hits her with the full force of his power and undead start to drop all around the market place. Every hit she takes the more start to drop and she looses concentration. Eventually she focuses all of her attention on Leisgar leaving the PC's enough time to cleave their way to safety.
Leisgar and Aaliyah begin to ascend, fighting in the skies as far as the naked eye can see and higher.
Every time you see a shooting star, don't be fooled, it's magic, one part in the war between the two that will last well beyond our years...
