It's GTA with 100-player servers, more or less.  There's over-the-shoulder shooting, driving, and you can be either a criminal or a cop.  It's definitely not an MMORPG because outside of the tutorials it's more or less unrestricted as what you can do.

So there was an APB beta playtest today.  I still don't know if it's a great game or not because it kept crashing like clockwork every 5 minutes.
